not just indigestion
We had a lovely opportunity this weekend to spend sometime with Lefty "Fleance" Meissnargusner aka Baby Meissner. A good friend who is an expert cardiac sonographer and echocardiagam specialist snuck us in to her hospital and spent well over 30 minutes showing us the floating, flipping and waving fruit of mah womb. WE got to count fingers and toes, we saw kidneys and a few good face shots. Lefty is very active and somewhat modest so we did a lot of chasing around and gentle jiggling to get clear shots.

Sometimes in daily life one can almost forget that there is a real being growing inside and it is so nice to have the reality of interaction. There was even a well placed kick which my friend and I felt and which seemed to even produce a sound on the monitor _ perhaps that was an imaginitive embellishment on my part. For the record, while there has been an awareness of movement (the flutters, they call it) no official kicks were felt until the evening of January 13th (a special day all around).

Thats the news - next we'll have the official anatomy screening on the 25th (20 week check up) where we may perhaps learn the sex of the lil cutie (if its not too modest)
