I'm back - I missed you all. Hawaii was hard to leave but - house full of boxes, no bathroom, work to do, cold weather CALLS TO ME.
Glad to be back to life though really. I just finished reading the Julia/Julie Project from Dec 25 through today (Comments too)-if she don't write that into a book some one else will probably pirate it and do it themselves and get rich (F****ers)
Soooo I think I'll spare the in depth run down and just give a top ten (in no particular order after points 1 and 2)
1. Seeing a humpback whale and humpback whalet about a hundred yards away from the little snorkel charter boat
2. Seeing the hundred or so dolphins that swam along and "surfed" the wake in front of the boat right before we saw (and ever so quietly heard) the whales
3. Laying on the beach on January 7th, swimming with sea turtles, laying on the beach
3. Getting doused in baby drool in Texas
4. Getting doused in puppy drool in Texas (Dexter exists!!!!)
5. Maudie's -Pete's Tantalizing Tacos, Hyde Park Bar and Grill fried Artichoke Hearts with lovely persons!
6. A badass $99 mail order chandelier
7. A last minute surprise New Year's eve wander down to the Lakeside after three days hectic repairing packing moving packing for beach wedding (from 1am to 3am or so)-pictures to prove it
8. Picking pumpkins for the wedding feast after Yoga at 8:00am on a wooden platform on a gently sloping volcanic mountain
9. Walking outside every morning for a week in my pjs - sitting listening waiting watching
10. Impromptu hike around a rocky mountainside path to catch the topless sunset (our own invention-born of too fast walking, sweatiness and ecstasy of being totally alone in nature) in my SURFAH flipflops
12. 95 year old jazz ukulele master giving me long life advice, doing yoga and providing beautiful music
11. Sadly TX is getting left behind bc the more recent Hawaii glows in my brain-had a great time at J/JP's folks' x-mas party-pigged out on jellycreamcheese thingie on crackers
12. Love from family and friends
